🕮 Opening Prayer 

O God,
who granted the grace of martyrdom to Saint Stephen,
open the hearts of your faithful,
that, rejoicing in the blood of your Martyrs,
we may attain that crown of glory promised to all who suffer for your Name.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
